I had bought a bag of large red bell peppers at one of LA's wonderful 99
Cents Only stores. I noticed these peppers each had a several inch long
green stem still attached. I decided to run foot long wooden skewers as
far as I could thru the length of the center of the green stems of each
pepper. I chose to use 5 peppers, but one or two looks nice also. I
arranged the skewered peppers in a clear glass footed vase as if they
were flowers. They resemble tulips. It made such a beautiful
decoration for my dining room table. There is no waste because they are
ready to eat as needed since I don't skewer the pepper itself only the
stems.... It is so colorful and saves the expense of buying flowers!!!!!
