Elderly Lady In Pink
With a lacy white metal loveseat with a white and pink floral setting, I am acting the part of an elderly lady in pink. This is a dress of my own design. The fabric is from a Virginia Wal-Mart stores Fabric Section. I paid $5 total for this fabric which made a floor length dress and a very long shawl. The dress is softest pink in color and is nylon stretchy fabric which is silky and has an almost iridescent sheen. It features a V-neck, is sleeveless style and drapes softly in a loosely fitting A-line. The fabric came with a self fringed edge on one side which I managed to design so that the fringe is at the bottom of the dress, in lieu of hemming. The shawl, I designed that the fringe would be on either end as it drapes softly around me. I wore silver wire rimmed ":granny style" glasses, red manicured nails and held my body. hands, head, and facial expressions, the way an elderly person might. Creating the look of a sweet little old granny, enjoying a peaceful afternoon in the back flower garden. It was fun portraying "The Elderly Lady In Pink."

Grey Wig And Dress For Playing An Elderly Lady In Films
I am being the Lady In Grey for playing an elderly lady in films. I am
wearing a grey wig in the color and style of my mothers own hair. Here
with my hair the same length and color, I think I look a lot like my
mother, Gertrude Hawkins, except my mother has always been the most
beautiful lady. With long dark brown hair in her younger years which is
this beautiful grey tint and texture exactly like this wig now only hers
is naturally so. And my mom has always been trim with a beautiful
figure. I am wearing a dress of my own design, with V- neckline,
A-line style and dress length half way between knee and ankle.
The fabric is from Wal-Mart's fabric section for $1.50 from a Va,
Wal-Mart store. It closely matches my silver
grey wig for a beautiful soft color as The Lady In Grey.

Impromptu Bullfight
Silver necklace worn in this photo is a "wedding necklace" like those worn in another country by the wedding couple linking them together. I bought this in a Goodwill store in Va. for $3. Bracelet of tiny silver bells on a silver cuff bought in La Goodwill store for $2.
Cotton stretch knit red dress by Luna Luz made in USA features boat neckline and ruffled balloon skirt. (Bought in Goodwill store in San Antonio, Texas for $5. I bought this dress to wear when appearing in the television program "Friday Night Lights". I love the skirt part of it. I received compliments on this dress from people involved in the filming. I wore a red suede Spanish style cowboy hat also for that T.V. episode, and black leather knee high boots with 2 inch heels bought for $$5.00 in a Goodwill store.) In this photo of my impromptu "bullfight", I am using a red skirt as the cape (muleta) for my "bullfight". The skirt is made in India of 100% silk. It has a transparent overskirt decorated with vine-like designs of silver beading, edged with gold beading. The under skirt is non-tranparent silk attached to over skirt at stretch waist and the hemline. The skirt is titled Carina by Bauy Lee Bought this in anLA Goodwill store for $3.99. It ia gorgeous skirt and made a wonderful "muleta" for this photo shoot in LA.

There is a one inch wide , long satin ribbon belt attached to either side of waist., I wore tied in front. It is a very soft and dressy, very girly skirt, a "feel good " outfit. Worn in this photo over a V-necked sleeveless straight dress of my own design, made of soft stretchy nylon fabric I bought from Wal-Mart's sewing section in Va. for $1.50 on sale. From Nerdy Sweater To Elegant Shawl
This lovely shawl I am wearing is recycled. It was a sweater in a style I
didn't like. I cut the pieces from each front and back and sewed it all
together again matching the stripes. I have worn it a lot since
remaking it into a shawl, transforming it from nerdiness to elegance.
The fabric is soft and comfortable, medium weight knit and as I have a
lot of black and red clothes, it goes with many of my outfits. The
red dress I am wearing is made in China by Periwinkle, 95% polyester, 5%
spandex, purchased several years ago for $12 at an LA Ross store. It
has a 3 inch back neck slit with button closures. It also features rose
petal like circles of the same fabric sewn all the way around the
neckline. The beautiful necklace is of faux rubies bought at
Wal-Mart for $3. Knee high genuine leather boots were $5 from
A Goodwill Store. A silver metal shoulder strap pocketbook
completes the look. My beautiful shawl worn here on an exciting tour
on board the Queen Mary about a year ago. What a beautiful ship, built
for a queen and used during W.W.ll to transport troops, now permanently
docked in Long Beach, CA.

Colorful Cache For Nail Polish
I buy my clothes detergent at the fabulous LA 99 Cents Stores. It is a 64 oz. jug for just 99 cents. It is LA Totally Awesome brand in regular scent and does an excellent job of cleaning. The jug is in my favorite color, "red". I have a number of empties. They are so colorful, I can't bring myself to throw them out. So-o-o- I thought wouldn't this make a nice container to hold my nail polish. Beginning with a paring knife I made a one inch slit in the container. With regular scissors, I then cut the bottom part off exactly 3 inches deep. Pop in all my bottles of nail polish, and I have a pretty colorful container I can place in my dresser drawer to store. I also took a black styrofoam tray that cucumbers came in and cut the styrofoam into I/4 th inch wide strips, cutting the entire length of the tray, about 12 inch long strips, pointing the ends with the scissors.. I placed them upright , as if a floral arrangement, among the bottles of nail polish. Now it will be pretty enough to leave on top of my dresser or on the bathroom sink counter. The rest of my detergent jug I will find uses for to I am sure. I can think of lots of uses for these detergent jugs. Washing clothes is a regular necessity so there will be plenty of these materials for my future projects. I love that this product has a mild fragrance and not overpowering one like so many detergents have, { A great detergent and lots of recycling materials for future projects.! It's like "having your cake and eating it too!!!."
